I am so tired

Of love poems

Painting lovely pictures

Promises of romance

Grand gestures

An epic love

That conquers all

Is rare

In reality

Look both ways

They advise

Caution and preparation.

Today,

I closed my eyes

and leaped

No caution

Just instinct

Bass beats

Hard and powerful

Shaking the walls

My heart beat mimics

The rhythm

Pounding, fast
